Mumbai:
M.R.Kumar has taken charge as chairman of Life Insurance Corporation today.The post had fallen vacant after VK Sharma retired in Dec end.
Kumar was In-charge of North Zone comprising of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan States and Union Territory of Chandigarh since April 2017.
T.C.Suseel Kumar has also taken charge as one of the Managing directors of LIC today. He was In-Charge of South Central Zone, heading operations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka States, since April 2016.
Vipin Anand will be taking over as one of the MDs after Sunita Sharma retires on March 31. He is currently zonal manager In-charge of Western Zone, covering the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Union Territories of Daman, Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Earlier he has headed East Central Zone at Patna and handled several other important assignments.
