DUBLIN:Aon plc today announced the appointment of Christian Hoffman as global CEO of Commercial Risk, effective June 1.
In this role, Hoffman will lead Aon’s global Commercial Risk business, advancing the firm’s strategy to help clients navigate increasing volatility by connecting their complex risk needs with the most efficient forms of Risk Capital.
Hoffman will report to Joe Peiser, CEO of Risk Capital for Aon, and will work closely with leaders across the firm’s regional teams and Aon Business Services to deliver integrated, analytics‑enabled solutions for clients.
“Commercial Risk is central to how we help clients navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected risk environment.Christian has spent his career working closely with clients to address their most challenging exposures, from cyber and financial lines to emerging and systemic risks,” said Peiser.
Hoffman brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industries as both a broker and underwriter.
He currently serves as Aon’s Global Specialty & Financial Products Leader and Head of M&A for North America, where he oversees a broad portfolio including Financial Services, Professional services, Cyber Solutions, Intellectual Property, Crisis Management and Credit Solution.
