New Delhi:The Government, on Friday, has changed its nominee directors in the boards of insurance regulator IRDAI, Life Insurance Corporation(LIC) and Delhi based Oriental Insurance Company(OIC).
It has appointed Shalini Pandit, joint secretary,Department of Financial Services, as a part-time member of the Irdai with immediate effect. Pandit has also been made director on the board of Life Insurance Corporation.
In both, Irdai board and LIC board Pandit replaces Parshant Kumar Goyal, joint secretary, DFS.
Meanwhile, Swagat Bhandari, director, Department of Financial Services, has been nominated to the board of Delhi based Oriental Insurance Company.Bhandari succeeds Sudhir Shyam.
The Centre has nominated Chandradeep Kumar Jha, deputy director general, DFS, to the board of governors of Management Development Institute(MDI), Gurugram. The appointment is effective immediately. Jha replaces M. G. Jayasree in MDI.
Jha has also been appointed as government nominee director on the board of India Infrastructure Finance Company(IIFC). The nomination takes effect immediately and Jha replaces Jayasree in IIFC.
