New Delhi: Geospatial world, strengthening geospatial ecosystems at business, national, and global level, has recognised state owned Agriculture Insurance Company(AIC) with Geospatial Excellence Award for Agriculture at GeoSmart India 2025 on Thursday.

This award, the 5th one AIC has bagged this year for tech excellence and innovation, is presented to the company for its exemplary leadership in the application of geospatial technologies to tackle India’s agricultural risk management.

By integrating satellite imagery, remote sensing, GIS-based crop monitoring, and geospatial modelling, AIC has improved crop loss assessment, accelerated claim settlements, and enhanced transparency in risk evaluation.

Its data-driven approach empowers millions of farmers with timely support, fostering financial resilience. AIC’s innovations set a national benchmark, advancing farmer welfare and building a more secure, climate-resilient agricultural ecosystem.
