State owned General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) is privileged to announce that registration for the 29th FAIR (Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Reinsurers) Conference is already well underway, with strong participation from across member markets and beyond.

The event will take place in the vibrant city of Mumbai from 5th to 8th October 2025.

This biennial gathering, coinciding with FAIR’s 60th Anniversary, represents six decades of fostering Afro-Asian cooperation in insurance and reinsurance. More than a conference, it is a celebration of shared histories, future aspirations, and the enduring spirit of collaboration that unites FAIR’s 213 member companies across 53 countries.

Over 700 global delegates are expected to converge, representing diverse markets and traditions, united under the resonant theme: “Emerging Markets – Towards Resilient Growth.”

FAIR 2025 embodies the Federation’s mission to amplify Afro-Asian voices on the world
stage. It will provide a platform where policy architects, regulators, reinsurers, and industry leaders deliberate on the defining challenges of our age. In an era of economic uncertainty, climate volatility, and technological transformation, we are charting new pathways toward resilience, sustainability, and inclusion.

Ramaswamy Narayan, CMD, GIC Re, observed,“Hosting the 29 th FAIR Conference in October 2025 is a profound honour that reflects our commitment to global partnership. Mumbai will become a crucible where ideas are transformed into action, strengthening bonds between continents and elevating the role of emerging markets. This is where the global reinsurance community will gather to build resilience, together.”

Sanjay Mokashi, GM, GIC Re, reflected on the event’s deeper significance, “This conference is designed for meaningful exchange. It is a platform where emerging
talents and established leaders can engage in the dialogues that will shape our industry for decades to come. Hosting FAIR in India is a testament to our nation’s ascendancy as a cornerstone of global reinsurance collaboration.”

Highlighting the broader perspective, Momen Mukhtar, Secretary General, FAIR, said :
“For sixty years, the Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Reinsurers ‘FAIR’ has been
the voice of Afro-Asian insurance markets, championing their growth and integration into the world economy. FAIR 2025 is not just a milestone anniversary; it is a springboard into a new era. We are poised to carry a legacy of endurance into a future defined by shared progress and collective strength.”

FAIR 2025 is not only a milestone conference but also a defining chapter in the Federation’s journey of strengthening Afro-Asian insurance and reinsurance markets.
