LONDON: MS Amlin, the Lloyd’s global (re)insurer, today announced the appointment of Christiern Dart as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dart, previously Group Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) at Brit, will take up the role in January 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Christiern brings more than three decades of leadership experience in international (re)insurance markets and will assume his role at a time of continued high performance at MS Amlin.
Dart spent 17 years at Brit, five of which as Group CUO, overseeing an underwriting capacity of over GBP £2 billion across a multi-line portfolio.
Dart succeeds Andrew Carrier who after three years as CEO, has chosen to retire from his current position.

MS Amlin is such a well-respected name in the market, and with the unmatched support of MSI and the wider MS&AD group, I know exciting opportunities and times lie ahead for us all.”
