FSIB recommends 5 GMs from 2 PSU re/insurance cos for ED promotions

The five names are- Jayashri Balkrishna, GM, GIC Re for GIC-Re, Amandeep Singh Grover, GM, National Insurance Company(NIC) for Oriental Insurance Company(OIC), Anjana Saxena, GM, NIC for OIC, Sanjay Lalla, GM, NIC for Agriculture Insurance Company(AIC), Mini George, GM, NIC for AIC

New Delhi: The FSIB has recommended five general managers of PSU general insurance companies for the appointment as executive directors(EDs) in three PSU general insurance companies including GIC Re.

The five names are- Amandeep Singh Grover, GM, National Insurance Company for Oriental Insurance Company, Anjana Saxena, GM, NIC for OIC, Jayashri Balkrishna, GM, GIC Re for GIC-Re, Sanjay Lalla, GM, NIC for Agriculture Insurance Company, Mini George, GM, NIC for AICL.

The FSIB, the government’s head hunting agency for selecting officials above EDs in PSU financial institutions, had interfaced with 16 candidates from various PSU non-life public sector insurance companies on May 14 and 16 for selecting five EDs in – AIC (2), GIC Re (1), OIC (2).

All these names will now be processed by the Ministry of Finance for seeking the approvals of Appointments Committee of Cabinet(ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Soon, the FSIB will select a senior managing director of state owned Life Insurance Corporation to become the MD&CEO of the corporation where the incumbent Siddartha Mohanty is calling it a day on June 7.

In the PSU general insurance company, the next CMD position will be vacant in GIC Re where N Ramaswamy will be retiring in Sept 30.,
