New Delhi: The government on Tuesday has appointed Sivasubramanian Ramann, Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General and Chief Technology Officer at Comptroller & Auditor General as the new chairman of pension funds regulator PFRDA with a tenure of five years.
The post will fallen vacant after Deepak Mohanty will retire in May after he reaches 65

The PFRDA regulates National Pension Scheme(NPS), subscribed by employees of Central Government, State Governments that have adopted NPS, Central and State Autonomous Bodies, by employees of private institutions / organizations and all citizens of India. PFRDA is ensuring the orderly growth and development of pension market.
As of December 2024, the total assets under management (AUM) under the National Pension System (NPS) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), which PFRDA regulates, had reached Rs 15 lakh crore.
