The insurers have to give adequate publicity to the special arrangements made for the last 3 days of the month

Hyderabad: Insurance regulator IRDAI has asked all the insurers to keep their offices open as per normal working hours on 29th(Saturday), 30th(Sunday) and 31st March, 2025.

This has been done to avoid any hardship to the policyholders during the last three days of the fiscal, said the insurance regulator.

The insurers may take note of the above and give adequate publicity to the special arrangement made as above, said IRDAI on Monday.

Insurance Regulatory Development Authority(IRDAI) is requested to suggest central govt for the amendments of Motor Vehicle act in compensation aspects. There should be a limit in accident compensation. If compensation amount goes unlimited, Insurance companies have to increase premium where people may not be able to pay higher premium and going further, there should be installments process in payment of compensation that will help survival of Insurance companies. Central government has to form a committee to receive suggestion from public

The order from the IRDAI is just ridiculous. On one hand, the regulator says it does not want to micro manage the industry then why this instructions? Hardly any premium or customer footfall was noticed last year . IRDA will remain closed. They should practice what they preach. Management’s of all companies will blindly issue instructions. It is to be noted that there are 2 festivals due in these 3 days.

File a complaint with Insurance Ombudsman in your city. You can also file a complaint with the Dist Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Before filing the complaint write a formal letter to the insurance company.

It is said that HATHI KA DANT DIKHA NE KA ALAG AUR CHABAA NE KAA ALAG.
Similarly IRDAI wants to keep all Insurers offices to remain open from 29th of March to 31st of March including SATURDAY and SUNDAY. It is not going to solve any problem because see in Gujarat, City like Ahmedabad and may be other Cities of Gujarat are not going to get CASHLESS Facility from STAR HEALTH & ALLIED INSURANCE COMPANY LTD TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE and CARE HEALTH INSURANCE.
As a Regulator it is the ultimate prime and main responsibility of IRDAI to intervene and solve grievances of thousands of policy holders.
Just by keeping offices open on Saturday and Sunday from 29th March to 31st of March is not going to solve any problem. IRDAI has miserably failed in solving the problems of thousands of policy holders.

Respected IRDAI, according your amendment when a customer pays a three year payment of his health insurance then why advisor get one year commission When a company gets three year premium then the agents should be given 3yrs commission too. Otherwise cancel the 3yrs premium option. Only allow premium for one year.

Star Health Company increases its premium every two years and the same is not translated in to providing rest of the services including paying claims. Please, agents and customers of Star Health Company should not buy fresh policy and renew their policies.
