Allianz Global Corporate Specialty SE (AGCS) has appointed Oskar Buchauer, currently head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Group Chief Actuarya as new chief financial officer (CFO) to its board of management.
With effect from September 1, 2023, Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre, CFO of AGCS for more than four years, will hand over his charge to Buchauer.
The appointment of the CFO at AGCS SE is subject to regulatory approval.
Coste-Lepoutre will take on Buchauer’s role at Allianz SE as Head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Group Chief Actuary.
In this role she will be working closely with Allianz Group CFO Giulio Terzariol to lead and steer key strategic and financial functions across all Allianz Group divisions: Property/Casualty Insurance (P&C), Life/Health Insurance, and Asset Management.
Buchauer will become CFO at AGCS at a time when AGCS and Allianz OEs around the world move into a new chapter as Allianz Commercial, working in partnership to build a ‘powerhouse’ business in the Commercial P&C segment (Mid Corp, Large Corp and Specialty). He will take direct responsibility for Finance on the Board of AGCS SE, including Accounting, Treasury & Tax, Actuarial, Compliance, Finance Solutions, Global Performance Steering, and Risk Management.
He is also a qualified actuary, and previously held a range of leadership and technical roles with divisional or regional responsibilities at Allianz Group and outside Allianz with IT consulting and a local mutual insurer.
