Willis Towers Watson (WTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced the appointment of Ben MacCarthy as Head of Casualty Asia for its Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) business.

Based in Hong Kong, Ben will report to Paul Ward, Head of Global Markets P&C in Asia at WTW. He will join the company on 1 December 2021.

Ben has over 15 years of experience in the property and casualty market, both in underwriting and broking. Most recently, he was Head of Customer and Distribution Management for the Commercial Insurance at Zurich Insurance Company in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Ben was the Head of Casualty for its commercial business in Hong Kong. Before joining Zurich Insurance, he had worked in Marsh Hong Kong and Australia for 10 years.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul said: “We are pleased with Ben joining our casualty team in Asia. Together with his strong track record and WTW’s Global P&C structure, we are confident that Ben will drive and strengthen our casualty capabilities here in Asia.”
