“For two years in a row, we’ve been able to provide an enhanced 10% resilience credit—a testament to the work our clients do every day to drive lasting protection. When our clients invest in loss prevention and achieve strong results, our mutual model allows us to support further improvements, creating a powerful circle of resilience,” said Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM.

Bengaluru: Commercial property insurer FM today announced that it will provide eligible clients with an estimated US$855 million through its resilience credit program.

The credit is a unique benefit made possible through FM’s mutual ownership structure. For the second year in a row, FM is providing a 10% premium offset to eligible clients due to extraordinary results and historically low losses.

“For two years in a row, we’ve been able to provide an enhanced 10% resilience credit—a testament to the work our clients do every day to drive lasting protection. When our clients invest in loss prevention and achieve strong results, our mutual model allows us to support further improvements, creating a powerful circle of resilience,” said Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM. .”

“India is building at remarkable pace. Embedding resilience into that growth now can help businesses protect those investments for decades to come” said Sumit Khanna, CEO, FMIC India – Reinsurance Branch.

FM first introduced the resilience credit in 2022 with an initial focus on addressing climate-related risks.

In 2025, due to clients’ resilience efforts and historically low losses, FM expanded the program to include operational risks, and doubled the credit from 5% to 10%.

Since then, FM clients have used the credit to drive risk improvement results even further. Because of that, FM will again be providing a 10% premium offset as part of its resilience credit program.

The resilience credit, together with FM’s unique engineering expertise and data and analytics capabilities, can help eligible clients implement risk improvement recommendations. The expanded program supports action on recommendations involving climate hazards and operational exposures.

The credit will be applied as a 10% premium offset against eligible FM policies with renewals or anniversaries between Jan. 1, 2027 and Dec. 31, 2027.

In April, FM also announced a record-setting US$1.5 billion membership credit. Together, these programs have helped clients strengthen their operations and build greater resilience, underscoring FM’s belief that the majority of loss is preventable.
