All insurance offices wil remain open on Mar31

The IRDAI has asked insurers to keep their branches open as per normal working hours on March 31, 2026.March 31 is a gazetted and public holiday in India owinng to Mahavir Jayanti.
“The insurers may take note of the above and give adequate publicity to the special arrangement made by them to keep their branches open,” said the IRDAI.
Branches of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) across the country will remain open on March 31 to help policyholders deposit their insurance premiums.
This is in accordance with the advisory issued by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) dated March 25, 2026, it said.
