Joshi gets another 3 month extension as acting GIC Re CMD

The government has extended the appointment of Hitesh Ramesh Chandra Joshi, executive director, GIC Re, as acting CMD of the state owned reinsurer for a further period of three months or until a regular CMD is appointed, or until further order, whichever is earliest, since Jan 2026.
Joshi has been holding charge of acting CMD of GIC Re since Oct 01, 2025 after N Ramaswamy, retired from the post on Sept 30, 2025. The FSIB, the head hunting agency of the government, which had advertised for the post which can now be applied by eligible PSU and private sector candidates, is yet to announce the date of the interview for the post.
