Mumbai, July 02:

Mini Ipe, 58, has taken charge as managing director of steate owned Life Insurance Corporation of India on Monday.

She was appointed as one of the four managing directors on 5th July, 2021.The post had fallen vacant after Vipin Anand retired on 31st July.

Meanwhile, Suchita Gupta,whose appointment as CMD of Kolkata based National Insurance Company(NIC) was cleared by the government on Friday, has joined the company on Monday.

“She has taken charge as CMD of NIC at its Mumbai office,'' said sources.  

Ipe has rich and diverse experience in LIC having worked in various capacities.Prior to taking charge as MD, she was ED , LIC's legal department,

She was the first woman zonal manager (In-charge) of LIC and headed SCZO, Hyderabad.

She has also worked as ED (International Operations), Director & CEO of LICHFL Financial Services Ltd. and was instrumental in taking LICHFL Financial Services Ltd. to new heights in business revenue and profits during her tenure.

.Ipe is a post graduate in commerce from Andhra University and has joined LIC in 1986 as a direct recruit officer.
