NCGTC issues guidelines for Rs 50,000-cr credit guarantee scheme for medical infra

As per the guidelines, a credit guarantee of 50 per cent to all brownfield projects and 75 per cent to greenfield projects in the healthcare sector at centres other than 8 municipal areas would be available. The excluded metros from the scheme are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

For the aspirational districts, the guarantee cover for both brownfield expansion and greenfield projects shall be 75 per cent, it said.

Govt to procure 660 mn more doses of Covishield, Covaxin at revised rates

According to the revised guidelines which came into effect from June 21, vaccine doses provided free of cost by the Centre will be allocated to states/UTs based on criteria such as population, disease burden and the progress of vaccination, and all above the age of 18 will be eligible for the free jabs.

Any wastage of vaccine will affect the allocation negatively.

World leaders pledge to redouble pandemic fight at special APEC meeting

“The pandemic continues to have a devastating impact on our region’s people and economies,” the leaders said in a joint statement issued after a virtual meeting chaired by New Zealand.

“We will only overcome this health emergency by accelerating equitable access to safe, effective, quality-assured, and affordable COVID-19 vaccines,” they said.There have been over 50 million cases of COVID-19 within APEC’s borders, with over 1 million deaths. APEC-wide GDP contracted by 1.9% in 2020.
