Kaspersky partners CERT-In to create secure cyberspace

The partnership would create mechanisms to detect latest cyber security threats that can adversely affect the information assets and privacy of the general users in the country, and devise appropriate security measures to enable such users to secure their systems.

“The pandemic has amply highlighted that we are codependent, interconnected and vulnerable. Our partnership with Kaspersky will help towards creating a robust, safe, secure and resilient digital economy in a vibrant digital India,” said Dr Sanjay Bahl, Director-General, CERT-In.

No direct correlation between health expenditure and Covid outcomes: Report

A significant part of the health care cost in India has to be borne by non-governmental entities, of which out of pocket expenses of households (including medical insurance) accounted for 2.2 per cent of the GDP and the remaining 0.4 per cent was accounted for by non-governmental organisations/ external donor/local bodies, it said, citing official data of FY17.

The share of government in the current expenditure on health in India is only 27.1 per cent and an a large share of 62.4 per cent is borne by households, it said.

A 40-year-old Chennai-based business consultant, who was a volunteer for the third phase of the vaccine trial conducted by Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII), has sought Rs 5 crore compensation for allegedly suffering serious neurological and psychological symptoms after taking the dose
“It is evident that the intention behind the spreading of such malicious information is an oblique pecuniary motive. The Serum Institute of India, will seek damages in excess of 100 crore for the same and will defend such malicious claims,” Serum Institute said.

Max Life hires 2,000 executives via digital medium during COVID-19

IRDAI approves swap of Mitsui Sumitomo’s Max Life stake with its listed parent

MFSL will now proceed for the implementation of the share swap transaction, which will entail swapping by MSI of its 20.57% stake in Max Life with a 21.87% stake in MFSL by way of issue and allotment of 7,54,58,088 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each at a price of Rs. 565.11 per equity share on a preferential allotment basis.

The share swap transaction will effectively result in MFSL’s stake in Max Life increasing to 93.10%. Presently, MFSL holds a 72.5% stake in Max Life and MSI owns 25.5% stake.
