PM announces Hydrogen Mission, self-reliance in energy by 2047
Hydrogen is produced predominantly through Steam Methane Reforming, or SMR, which utilizes fossils fuels, such as natural gas or coal, and through Proton Exchange Membrane Electrolysis, which splits water into hydrogen and oxygen using a current of electricity.
Currently, all hydrogen consumed in India comes from fossil fuels. By 2050, three-fourth of all hydrogen is projected to be green — produced by renewable electricity and electrolysis.
India records 36,083 new Covid cases, 493 deaths
A total of 73,50,553 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. Cumulatively, 54.38 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive till Sunday morning, the ministry said.A total of 4,31,225 deaths have been reported so far in the country, including 1,34, 909 from Maharashtra, 36,958 from Karnataka, 34,496 from Tamil Nadu, 25,069 from Delhi, 22,783 from Uttar Pradesh, 18,499 from Kerala, and 18,291 from West Bengal.
The health ministry stressed that more than 70 percent of the deaths occurred due to comorbidities.

Maha July rains: Rs 2,500 cr loss to industrial units in Mahad, Chiplun
Manufactured products, machinery and raw material in industrial estates spread over 2,000 acres in Mahad and New Mahad were severely affected and the loss may be in the range of Rs 2,000 crore, while 50 of the 161 units in Chiplun industrial estate had suffered major damage, he said.
He said the rains had damaged roads and bridges in the industrial area, while water-logging in the MIDC office had soiled some documents, though efforts were on to ensure administration work was not hampered.
Indian Oil plans to install electric vehicle charging facility at 100 outlets in Maharashtra
Ajay Kumar Shrivastav,General Manager (Retail Sales),Indian Oil is planning to install nearly 100 electric vehicle charging facilities across the state by the end of this financial year.
”Five will be installed in the Marathwada region. Wherever needed, the charging guns will be upgraded from 15 KW capacities to 45 KW. If needed we can install a new facility also.”
