The Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) programme aims to create a pool of grassroot rehabilitation workers at the community level, who can work alongside the ASHA and anganwadi workers to handle cross-disability issues and facilitate the inclusion of the persons with disabilities in the society.
The content and curriculum of the course have been developed by a committee of experts drawn from India and Australia.
Impressed with Bihar’s HIT COVID App, PM seeks details for countrywide use
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had launched the ”HIT COVID App” on Monday to reach out to coronavirus patients undergoing treatment for the deadly disease in home isolation.
As part of the project, health workers at the grassroots level visit patients in home isolation to record their temperature and oxygen level on a daily basis, and the data is fed to the App.
IMD reports new cyclone formation, Yaas, at Bay of Bengal
“Low pressure of the new cyclonic storm is expected to start forming in the Bay of Bengal by May 22. May 23 should mark depression stage, and the final cyclonic storm is expected to hit by May 24-25,” he told ANI.
The cyclone Yaas will hit the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal on May 26. Meanwhile, both the states will experience heavy rainfall from May 22 to 26.
