Interim Budget 2019-20: Focussing on Health Insurance & Wearable Technology

The Union Budget of 2019 can provide an instant fillip to health insurance by incentivising manufacture and sale of health wearable technology devices and biosensors. Similar to the boost provided to the education sector through distribution of laptops to students and the revolution in the communication sector through enhanced mobile connectivity, tax breaks on wearable health devices can stimulate the economic growth rate through social wellbeing.

Why many Americans will never be able to retire

Some see this as a positive trend, because it adds to the economy. But others rightfully view it with trepidation, because there’s the distinct possibility that many of these elderly people just can’t afford to retire. PIMCO launches new Insurance-Linked Securities business in partnership with Allianz

PIMCO will work in partnership with its parent, Allianz, to source global catastrophe risk in the form of collateralized reinsurance and other structured investments, while maintaining independent underwriting and portfolio construction procedures.  This differentiated approach will also give PIMCO the flexibility to source risk from the open market in an effort to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns for clients.
