The top three countries with high internal displacements last year were China, Philippines and Bangladesh, where over four million people were displaced, according to the State of India’s Environment Report 2021 released by the Centre for Science and Environment.The report stated that 76 per cent of the internal displacements globally in 2020 were triggered by climate disasters.
It said 4.05 crore people were displaced in the world that year, out of which, 3.07 crore people were displaced due to climate disasters and 98 lakh due to conflicts and violence.

“NPPA has capped the trade Margin up to 70 per cent on price to distributor (PTD) level on oxygen concentrators,” the ministry said.
The order will be applicable up to November 30 this year, subject to review.The ministry further said that the manufacturers/importers not complying with the revised MRP after trade margin capping, will be liable to deposit the overcharged amount along with 15 per cent interest and penalty up to 100 per cent under the provisions of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 read with Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

Indian airlines may post $4.1 billion consolidated loss this fiscal: CAPA
“We expect that Indian airlines will lose a consolidated USD 4.1-billion in FY2022, similar to that in FY2021. This will take total losses over two years to around USD 8 billion as a result of the two COVID-19 waves,” CAPA said in the report.
