Heavy rains in Delhi as Monsoon breaks 46-year record; Airport forecourt, key roads waterlogged
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said the waterlogging at the forecourt was “for a short period” and operations have been back to normal since 9 AM.
Sources said four domestic flights — two of SpiceJet and one each of IndiGo and Go First — were diverted to Jaipur. One international flight — Emirates flight from Dubai to Delhi — was diverted to Ahmedabad, the sources mentioned.
They also said that three IndiGo flights that were scheduled to depart from Delhi were cancelled due to bad weather.
UK’s Sunak wants insurers to explore products for social care costs
Social care refers to long-term health care outside hospitals.Sunak has asked officials to work with insurers to consider “new products” that can help with social care costs, the treasury source said.
“We’re hopeful that in time the cap on costs will provide the clarity insurers need to create new products,” the source said.

The agency said last month it received applications from over 500 companies covering more than 6.5 million tobacco products. E-cigarettes have operated in a regulatory gray area for years. The products, which vaporize a nicotine-laced liquid, have been available in the United States since at least 2007, but the FDA did not formally get jurisdiction over the industry until May 2016.
Nerve disorder listed as ‘very rare’ side effect of AstraZeneca jab
Guillain-Barre Syndrome was a “very rare” side effect, occurring in under one in 10,000 people, it added. The disorder is a nerve inflammation that may cause temporary paralysis and difficulty breathing. In the United States, the very rare syndrome affects an estimated 3,000 to 6,000 people each year and most go on to recover.
