‘India facing high fossil fuel consumption challenge’
India is a signatory to the Paris Agreement. Under the agreement signed in 2015, India has committed to cut GHG (Green House Gas) emissions intensity of its GDP by 33-35 per cent, increase non-fossil fuel power capacity to 40 per cent from 28 per cent in 2015, add carbon sink of 2.5-3 billion tonnes CO2 per annum by increasing the forest cover, all by 2030.

“There have been reports raising doubts whether any adverse reactions to Covid-19 vaccination that require hospitalization will be covered by the health insurance policies.It is clarified that in the unlikely event of hospitalization following adverse reaction to covid-19 vaccination, hospitalization is covered under the health insurance policies subject to the specific terms and conditions of the policy.” said IRDA in a press release.

LIC has allowed its 113 divisional offices, 2048 branches, 1526 satellite offices and 74 customer zones to receive maturity claims documents from policyholders whose maturity payments are due, irrespective of the servicing branch of the policy.
