COVID-19 vaccination at public, private workplaces having 100 eligible beneficiaries from Apr 11

“In order to increase the access of vaccine to these populations, COVID-19 vaccination sessions may be organised at work places (both public & private) which are having about 100 eligible and willing beneficiaries by tagging these work places with an existing COVID vaccination centre,” Bhushan said in the letter.

“Such work place vaccination centres may be launched across states/Union territories from April 11, 2021,” he said.

‘Work from home jobs’ searches in 2020 surged 140% in India: Google report

This, “Learning anything, anywhere”, is one amongst the three major changes in user behaviour that have emerged based on search trends spanning Search and YouTube in 2020, Google said.

The searches for learning went beyond academics, and focused on learning for career progression, upskilling, entrepreneurship, and supplementary income, with four in five people coming to YouTube to learn something new, Google said.

One year since lockdown: India still recovering from unemployment blow

The data showed that the unemployment rate had peaked to 23.5 per cent in April and remained at 21.7 per cent in May. It started tapering off from June onward when it was recorded at 10.2 per cent in the month and further improved to 7.4 per cent in July.

However, the unemployment rate again rose slightly to 8.3 in August and improved to 6.7 per cent in September last year, as per CMIE data.
