Indian Oil plans to install electric vehicle charging facility at 100 outlets in Maharashtra

Ajay Kumar Shrivastav,General Manager (Retail Sales),Indian Oil is planning to install nearly 100 electric vehicle charging facilities across the state by the end of this financial year.

”Five will be installed in the Marathwada region. Wherever needed, the charging guns will be upgraded from 15 KW capacities to 45 KW. If needed we can install a new facility also.”

National Health Authority teams up with IIT Delhi to strengthen India’s response to COVID-19 crisis

Through this partnership, the National Health Authority (NHA) will be a technical collaborator on the US Agency for International Development (USAID)-supported SAMRIDH Healthcare Blended Financing Facility, a statement by the NHA said.

SAMRIDH Healthcare Blended Financing Facility aims to catalyse market-based health solutions to improve access to affordable and quality healthcare services for low-income and vulnerable communities, particularly for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) beneficiaries.
IIT Delhi serves as the hosting entity for SAMRIDH. This initiative is implemented by a Technical Support Unit managed by IPE Global.

UN experts call to impose moratorium on sale of surveillance technology

Two years ago the then UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression published a report on the dangerous impact of surveillance technology on human rights and recommended an immediate moratorium on its sale and transfer until international regulations incorporating human rights safeguards were adopted.
