U.S. agency orders Ford to recall 3 million vehicles over air bags

The defect, which leads in rare instances to air bag inflators rupturing and sending potentially deadly metal fragments flying – especially after long-term exposure to high humidity – prompted the largest automotive recall in U.S. history of more than 67 million inflators. Worldwide, about 100 million inflators installed by 19 major automakers have been recalled.

IRDAI constituted Panel suggests wide-ranging cyber liability covers 

Cyber risks have accelerated by as much as 500 per cent since the first lockdown was imposed in India in March 2020. There is an increase in coronavirus-themed spam,likely resulting in more infected personal computers and phones.

Global survey conducted by Swiss Re reveals that Individuals are more worried about financial losses resulting from illicit access of financial credentials, identity theft, data loss due to technical issues and breach of privacy.

Covishield not to be taken by people severely allergic to any of its ingredients: Serum Institute

The vaccine maker also said that the vaccine recipient should also tell the healthcare provider about all the medical conditions before getting the Covishield vaccine including, “if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) after any drug, food, any vaccine or any ingredients of Covishield vaccine”.

The recipients should also mention to the healthcare provider if they have fever, if they have a bleeding disorder or are on a blood thinner and also if they are immuno-compromised or are on a medicine that affects your immune system, it added.
