Under Ayushman Bharat, 3 crore women screened for Cancer

“In the past two years, under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana alone, three crore women from poor and rural families got themselves screened for cervical and breast cancer. It means the woman who would have never spoken about the diseases now have support from the government and she utilised the policy and under that she got herself screened, which means she is prepared for a medical challenge and she has prepared herself for solutions,” the union minister said.

Govt approves creation of PM Swasthya Suraksha Nidhi as single non-lapsable reserve fund for health

Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Nidhi (PMSSN) is a non-lapsable reserve fund for health in the public account and proceeds of share of health in the health and education cess will be credited into PMSSN, the statement said.

The accruals into the PMSSN will be utilised for the flagship schemes of the health ministry such as Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs), National Health Mission, Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), Emergency and disaster preparedness and responses during health emergencies and any future programme/scheme that targets to achieve progress towards SDGs and the targets set out in the National Health Policy (NHP) 2017.

Most economies won’t return to pre-Covid activity levels by 2022: Moody’s

Policy actions will continue to support economic activity and financial markets after the pandemic has eased, it added. Policymakers will continue to support economic activity long after the pandemic has faded, in some cases for years, Moody’s said.

Moody’s expects the incidence and prevalence of the pandemic to gradually decline over the course of this year, as vaccination numbers rise. In turn, this will allow governments to gradually ease lockdown measures.

Delhi government to open special women mohalla clinics

“In the first phase, 100 ‘Mahila Mohalla Clinics’ are proposed to be established in different parts of Delhi, which will be progressively increased to at least one clinic in each ward.
