Under Ayushman Bharat, 3 crore women screened for Cancer

“In the past two years, under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana alone, three crore women from poor and rural families got themselves screened for cervical and breast cancer. It means the woman who would have never spoken about the diseases now have support from the government and she utilised the policy and under that she got herself screened, which means she is prepared for a medical challenge and she has prepared herself for solutions,” the union minister said.

Delhi government to open special women mohalla clinics

“In the first phase, 100 ‘Mahila Mohalla Clinics’ are proposed to be established in different parts of Delhi, which will be progressively increased to at least one clinic in each ward. I understand that this is taken in the direction of keeping half of its population respectfully healthy, which will be the most important step so far in the history of 75 years of independent India. For a step such as this, what better time can there be, than the 75th anniversary of our independence,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, said.

84% of Indians prefer firms that protect personal data

The survey results come at a time when there is no comprehensive data privacy law in place in the country and India is rapidly going digital.

While a majority (78 per cent) of Indian consumers broadly know how many organisations use, store or have access to their personal data (e.g. email address, contact number, bank details etc.), 22 per cent still “don’t have a clue” about it.

Others are related to creating better partnerships between OEMs and financial institutions by providing product guarantees and warranties. Furthermore, a developed and formal secondary market can improve the resale value of EVs and improve their bankability. “The identified barriers within EV finance need to be tackled in structured manner with innovative financing models,” said Randheer Singh, Senior Specialist at NITI Aayog.
