Ping An Healthcare Technology covers the medical data of more than 800 million Chinese citizens, its parent company’s deputy chief executive officer, Jessica Tan, told investors in November last year. It has been able to help local governments in 250 Chinese cities reduce medical insurance expenditures an average 10 percent by preventing fraud, Tan said at the time.

Insurers can’t reject health claims after eight years of continuous renewals: IRDA Panel

The panel has recommended that all health conditions acquired after policy inception, other than those that are not covered under the policy contract (such as Infertility and Maternity) should be covered under the policy and cannot be permanently excluded. Thus, exclusion of diseases contracted after taking the health insurance policy such as for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, AIDs/HIV infection, Morbid obesity, etc.cannot be permitted.

‘Pollution in Delhi akin to smoking 15-20 cigarettes a day’
