9,27,606 severely acute malnourished children identified, nearly 4 lakh in UP: WCD Ministry

” As on 30th November, 2020, 9,27,606 severely acute malnourished (SAM) children (6 months – 6 years) have been identified in the country, out of which 3,98,359 are from the State of Uttar Pradesh. Under the Integrated Child Development Services, supplementary nutrition is provided to children including severely malnourished children in the age group of 6 months-6 years,” Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani said,.

India adds 43,645 COVID-19 cases, 640 deaths

The number of active cases stood at 3,99,436, an increase of 1,336 in a span of 24 hours, and comprises 1.27 per cent of the total infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.39 per cent, the data updated at 8 am showed.
The total number of Covid vaccine doses administered so far as part of the nationwide vaccination drive has reached 44.61 crore.

Changing VT code of Indian aircraft will have big financial implication on airlines: Govt

In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha from BJP MP Harish Dwivedi, Minister of State for Civil Aviation V K Singh said, ”If we change the VT call sign, then all documents have to be reissued, the aircraft will have to be repainted and cannot fly till all markings are changed.” ”Aircraft will remain grounded during the whole process. It will also have a big financial implication on the airlines,” he added.

Guj govt to start evening clinics for labourers, daily wagers in cities

The clinics will be opened soon in collaboration with municipal corporations, and an honorarium will be given to private doctors who are willing to provide their services, he said.

”The idea is to provide free treatment to poor people near their homes. As labourers and daily wagers leave their homes in the morning for work and are away all day, these clinics will remain open for four to five hours in the evening, when they return home,” the deputy chief minister said.
