Parliamentary panel red-flags government’s ambitious healthcare scheme

Parliamentary Standing Committee has warned of possible failures of National Health Protection Scheme. The committee reported that the enrolment in RSBY was quite low. “Only 57 per cent of eligible are enrolled and less than 12 per cent of the eligible persons got their hospitalisation covered through RSBY.” 

Government working on national policy for domestic workers: Labour ministry

The policy has been hanging fire for nearly three years as it was to be presented before the Cabinet in 2015.
Among others, the policy envisages to make a provision for a minimum salary of Rs 9,000 per month, compulsory paid leave of 15 days in an year and maternity leave benefits to full-time domestic helps.
