Delhi witnesses coldest October in 58 years

On Thursday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius — the lowest in the month of October in 26 years. The last time Delhi recorded such a low temperature was in 1994.The national capital had recorded a low of 12.3 degrees Celsius on October 31, 1994, according to the IMD data.

Centre asks states to form committees for smooth COVID-19 vaccination drive

Stating that COVID-19 vaccine introduction will span over a year with multiple groups being included “sequentially starting from health care workers”, the Health Ministry has sought constitution of committees at state and district levels which will review preparatory activities in terms of cold chain preparedness, operational planning, strategies for state-specific challenges in terms of geographical terrain and hard-to-reach areas, etc

RBI asks Axis bank to restructure its plans to acquire stakes in Max Life

Under the revised agreements, Axis Bank will acquire upto 9.002 per cent of the equity share capital of Max Life, and, Axis Capital Limited and Axis Securities Limited will together acquire upto 3.000 per cent of the share capital of Max Life.

In addition, Axis Entities will have a right to acquire an additional stake of upto seven .per cent of the equity share capital of Max Life, in one or more tranches..
