COVID-19: India records 18,599 new cases, 97 fresh fatalities
Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu are the six states that cumulatively account for 86.25 per cent of the new coronavirus cases reported in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 11,141, followed by Kerala with 2,100 and Punjab with 1,043 new infections, the ministry said.
Women want health covers to be more `women-centric’: Survey
The report showed that 98% of the women believe that there should be more women centric health add-ons in the health insurance such as Menstruation/hormonal issues, PCOD treatment, Mental Illness related to Postpartum Syndrome and Osteoporosis Treatment. Women’s health has been majorly affected given their ever-evolving roles both at work as well as at home which make the need for health insurance vital. Their bodies are biologically different from men; hence it has been noted that women are more susceptible to critical ailments such as arthritis, breast cancer, auto-immune diseases, menstruation/hormonal issue etc.
Delhi Govt to provide scrapping incentives under Delhi EV Policy: Gadkari
The Delhi Government order issued on February 25, 2021 in this regard mandates conversion of all vehicles owned/leased by the Government of NCT of Delhi to transition to electric by Aug 6, 2021, the minister said. ”Under the Delhi EV Policy, 2020 —scrapping incentive is provided for the vehicles in lieu of scrapping a more polluting conventional vehicle.
