IRDAI allows home treatment as add-on cover in health insurance
Reacting to the development, Liberty General Insurance Ltd’s CEO and Whole Time Director Roopam Asthana told IANS that the “add-on cover has to be priced right taking into account the data and possible scenarios”.

15.49 lakh policyholders of HDFC Life Insurance are eligible for this bonus. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance declared its highest-ever annual bonus of Rs 867 crore for the policyholders for FY21.
Bajaj Allianz Life, has declared bonuses amounting to Rs. 1,156 crore to its policyholders. This includes a special one-time bonus of Rs. 315 crores, which is over and above the regular bonus.
SC reserves verdict on Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia compensation to kin of COVID-19 deceased
The top court asked the parties to file written submissions in three days and specifically directed the Centre to simplify the process of grant of death certificates to the dependents of those who have died of COVID-19.
The Centre had earlier told the apex court that the ex-gratia compensation of Rs 4 lakh cannot be paid to the families of those who have died of COVID-19 as the finances of state governments and the Centre are under severe strain.

During today’s meeting, the Board of Directors of SCOR has unanimously decided to reiterate its full support to Denis Kessler and Augustin de Romanet and, accordingly, to recommend the shareholders of SCOR to vote against the draft resolution presented by CIAM and in favor of the draft resolutions proposed by the Board of Directors of SCOR, including in particular the renewal of Augustin de Romanet as director of SCOR and the approval of the remuneration of Denis Kessler, said a release issued by SCOR on Monday.
