Cleanliness survey for villages across India launched
Minister of State in the Jal Shakti Ministry Prahlad Singh Patel, who presided over the e-launch of Swachh Survekshan Grameen, 2021 under phase two of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), said India achieved the massive challenge of declaring all villages open-defecation free in a mission mode in five years. Phase two of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) aims at achieving the goal of comprehensive cleanliness by addressing open-defecation free sustainability and solid and liquid waste management issues, he said.

The survey further said the average monthly income per agricultural household during agricultural year 2018-19 was at ₹ 10,218. Of this, the average income per household from wages was ₹ 4,063, crop production ₹ 3,798, animal husbandry ₹ 1,582, non-farm business ₹ 641 and leasing of land ₹ 134.
According to the survey, the number of agricultural households in the country was estimated at 9.3 crore with OBCs accounting for 45.8 per cent, SC 15.9 per cent, ST 14.2 per cent and others 24.1 per cent.

Indian equity markets quickly erased the gains made in a volatile start on Friday to head southwards, dragged down by index heavyweights HDFC twins and ICICI Bank( down 3 per cent). HDFC Bank slipped over 7 per cent and HDFC was down 4 per cent.
The S&P BSE Sensex hovered around 28,000 levels, down 200 points, or 0.7 per cent, after the initial jump. The Nifty50 index was trading with slight cuts at 8,240 levels. The Nifty sectoral indices were trading mixed. While Nifty FMCG and Nifty Pharma indexes traded over 3 per cent up each, the Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services indexes dipped 3 per cent each.
