40,000 ITRs being filed daily on new portal, CBDT says as it fixes glitches

It said presently, about 8-10 lakh people are logging into the new portal and on an average 40,000 I-T Returns are being filed every day.

“The portal received more than 62 lakh Aadhaar-PAN linkage requests, about 4.87 lakh e-PANs were issued and 1.32 lakh DSC registration have been completed. Thee-proceeding functionality has been deployed for tax payers for faceless assessment and 24,781 responses have been received from taxpayers with 1.42 Lakh attachments till July 10, 2021,” it said.

Dr John Perry, from the MRC Epidemiology Unit and a senior author on the paper, said: “Reading an individual’s DNA is a powerful way of identifying genetic variants that increase our risk of developing certain diseases. For complex diseases such as type 2 diabetes, many variants play a role, but often only increasing our risk by a tiny amount. This particular variant, while rare, has a big impact on an individual’s risk.”

IMD”s faulty forecast for N India: Wrong signals by models, difficulty in predicting wind patterns

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted that monsoon is expected to cover these parts by June — a little less than a month back, but its predictions are yet to come true.

In its forecast on June 13, the IMD had predicted that the Southwest Monsoon will reach Delhi by June 15. However, a day later it said conditions are not favourable for its further advancement in this region.

Bank employees working in sensitive positions to get surprise leaves of at least 10 days

In a communication to lenders, including rural development banks and cooperative banks, the RBI asked them to put in place a ‘mandatory leave’ policy as part of the prudent risk management measure.

During the mandatory leave, the bank employee will not have access to any physical or virtual resources related to the work responsibilities, with the exception of internal/ corporate email which is usually available to all employees for general purposes.

IT rules 2021 empowering, protecting users, asserts Ashwini Vaishnaw

The new rules which came into effect from May 25 mandate social media companies to establish a grievance redressal mechanism for resolving complaints from the users or victims.

All significant social media companies, with over 5 million user base shall appoint a grievance officer to deal with such complaints and share the name and contact details of such officers.

Its online store showed error messages on several regional domains. Reuters could not access product listing on its domains including, the United States, India, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Singapore.More than 37,00 user reports had indicated issues with Amazon’s online store site, while about 280 users reported problems with the Amazon Web Services, according to Downdetector.
