The government said 41 districts in India were reporting a COVID-19 weekly positivity rate of more than 10 per cent.

According to the government, 58.4 per cent of the total COVID-19 cases last week were reported from Kerala.

”Kerala is the only state reporting over 1 lakh active COVID-19 cases, while four states have 10,000 to 1 lakh active cases and 31 states have less than 10,000 active cases,” it said.

COVID-19 caseload in India rises to 94.62 lakh

The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 88,89,585, pushing the national recovery rate to 93.94 per cent. The COVID-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.45 per cent.

The active COVID-19 caseload remained below five lakh for the 21th consecutive day. There are 4,35,603 active cases in the country which comprised 4.60 per cent of the total caseload, the data stated.
