COVID can also cause abnormal heart rhythms, blood clots in the legs and lungs, and heart failure. Our understanding of how COVID causes heart inflammation and injury to the heart muscle is becoming clearer, though there’s more to learn. Persistent symptoms from the virus, called “long COVID”, have been reported in about 10-30% of people who’ve contracted COVID.

One study on long COVID, published in July, found common cardiovascular symptoms include heart palpitations, fast heart rate, slow heart rate, chest pain, visible bulging veins, and fainting.

NGT refuses to modify order on deregistration of 10-year-old diesel vehicles

As noted in the order dated July 18, 2016, appeal against order dated April 7, 2015 directing that more than 10 years old diesel vehicles be not allowed to ply on Delhi-NCR roads was dismissed by the Supreme Court.
The basis of prayer in the present applications was that the COVID-19 period should be excluded for calculating the period of 10 years.

The NGT had earlier declined to lift its ban on such vehicles in Delhi-NCR, noting that emissions from diesel vehicles were carcinogenic.
