India reports 41,383 new COVID-19 cases, deaths rise by 507

India's daily positivity rate remained less than 3 per cent for 31 consecutive days. The positivity rate stood at 2.41 per cent.


New Delhi:

India reported on Thursday 41,383 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, while daily deaths rose by 507, health ministry data showed.

The country's tally of infections now stands at 31.26 million, with the death toll at 418,987, according to government data.

India's daily positivity rate remained less than 3 per cent for 31 consecutive days. The positivity rate stood at 2.41 per cent.

With the new cases reported in the last 24 hours, as many as 3,12,57,720 cases have been reported in the country so far, Union Health Ministry informed on Thursday. As many as 38,652 recoveries were witnessed in the last 24 hours, taking the number to 3,04,29,339 so far.
